We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are currently seeking a compassionate, dependable individual to provide respite care for a bright and spirited young girl with autism and ADHD. This role goes beyond basic supervision—it's an opportunity to become a supportive mentor and guide as she builds confidence and independence through daily living skills. In this part-time position, you will work closely with the child in her home, supporting her through engaging routines and hands-on learning experiences that foster practical life skills. From meal preparation to hygiene routines, you’ll play an active role in helping her learn and grow in a nurturing, structured environment. Location:Care to be provided in the child’s home.Compensation:$18.42 per hourSchedule:Flexible and arranged in advance with the managing party (parent/guardian)Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 supervision with a strong focus on safety, routine, and emotional support • Assist and teach daily living tasks such as hygiene routines, meal preparation, and light household chores • Support the child in gaining independence through repetition, modeling, and positive reinforcement • Encourage social-emotional development through structured play, learning activities, and consistent routines • Build a warm, encouraging relationship to foster trust and confidence • Maintain open communication with the family to share progress and insights Qualifications & Skills: • Experience supporting children with disabilities or neurodiverse needs (autism and/or ADHD preferred) • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and consistency • Ability to follow and adapt individualized care plans • Comfort with teaching and encouraging life skills in a step-by-step manner • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Requirements: • Must be able to pass a caregiver background check • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred • Strong communication and time management skills • Passion for working with youth and making a meaningful impact For questions or other inquiries, feel free to email us at cdwibrokers@consumerdirectcare.comFor more opportunities, visit our Facebook Page:CDWI FacebookYou can also complete this form to be contacted regarding other opportunities in your area:https://forms.office.com/r/bNA70UHRTF *If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record.
