    The Personal Insurance Consultant is a licensed property and casualty agent who provides excellent customer service to existing and potential WEA Member Benefits' (Member Benefits) participants by fulfilling members' requests for personal insurance products and services through defining their needs and proposing comprehensive personal insurance and other plans that make optimal use of products offered by Member Benefits. The Personal Insurance Consultant focuses on new business growth activities and must be available for occasional travel throughout the state for in-person consultations as well as be available to contact participants by phone at times of the day, evening, and both during the week and on weekends when the incumbent can be assured of reaching participants by phone. Currently a Hybrid position, with time split in office and WFH.
    • Possession of current Wisconsin property and casualty license.
    • Successful sales experience, including the ability to regularly achieve established sales goals.
    • Skill utilizing personal computers and Windows-based software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred).
    • Skill performing basic mathematical calculations.
    • Excellent performance in present and past positions.
      • Exceptional customer service skills, including:o Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, to listen and skillfully ask questions, and to explain difficult and technical insurance issues.o Excellent listening skills and the ability to respond to members' questions and comments while quickly and accurately entering member data and locating necessary online information.
        • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to compose clear, concise, and persuasive correspondence and narrative reports that communicate messages consistent with Member Benefits' policies, plans, and provisions while using appropriate spelling, tone, grammar, and word usage.
        • Skill collecting, logically organizing and analyzing data (including the ability to interpret insurance certificates and guidelines accurately and make appropriate decisions), research and analyze problems objectively from multiple perspectives, reach sound conclusions, and make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
        • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
        • Ability to establish goals and coordinate resources necessary to achieve goals.
        • Ability to quickly, effectively, and continually adapt to changes in work objectives, processes, and technology.
        • Ability to work cooperatively with others to develop and implement solutions that achieve mutually desired results and to work as a constructive member of a team.
        • Ability to work as a constructive member of a team, sharing technical expertise as needed.
        • Ability to be composed and adaptive in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
        • Ability to cross-sell and refer members to other Member Benefits products and services.
        • Flexibility and self-motivation to work the schedule and the number of hours needed to accomplish regular and ad hoc job responsibilities, including some evening and weekend hours.
