Job Description:

ElderCounsel is looking for an ambitious, self-starter, seeking to expand their sales career. In this work-from-home position, you'll be responsible for selling marketing and consultancy services to estate planning, elder law, and other attorney across the country. This position must reside in Colorado, Wisconsin, Florida, or Texas.
A successful Marketing and Business Services Salesperson (we call the Practice Solutions Advisors) will create long-term, trusting relationships, develop new business, and save at-risk relationships, all while helping members grow their business through marketing, sales, and operational efforts. They will gather and use data to effectively implement proactive outreach and support, upsell additional marketing services, and aid members with client generation, business development, and operations strategies.

ElderCounsel provides a state-of-the-art document drafting system, ElderDocx, as well as education and support to its members. What you'll be doingEssential duties and responsibilities for a Marketing and Business Services Salesperson include the following. Other areas of responsibility may be assigned as needed.

  • Lead sales calls, sometimes with the partnership of other sales team members, to help closing marketing services deals
  • Upsell products and services to your book of business
  • Create custom proposals for prospects based on needs
  • Schedule and attend monthly calls with all members of your book of business to generate upsells and other consultancy and service sales
  • Operate as the point of contact and trusted advisor for any matters specific to client marketing, sales, and operations
  • Maintain existing clients and attract new clients while attending trade shows and education events
  • Meet or exceed individual and team quotas
  • Respond to incoming member calls, email, and inquiries
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all client interactions via CRM (Salesforce)
    What skills will you need?This position is perfect someone who is passionate about helping small business owners (elder law attorneys) succeed and grow their practices. You'll be a good listener who is dedicated to helping clients grow their practices. You'll be knowledgeable about marketing and business solutions, comfortable following a sales process, and eager to meet and exceed your sales quota.
    You'll be working from your home office so you'll need to be able to structure and prioritize your time effectively and demonstrate an ability to produce results without direct supervision. That said, you will be connected to the rest of the team via software so we're only a click away.
    Additional desirable skills:
    • Minimum of two years of college with Associates degree or on-the-job training equivalent of a four-year degree
    • 3-5 years' experience in service sales OR marketing and business development experience OR experience as a practicing attorney
    • At least 2 years' experience in B2B marketing or consultancy services sales required
    • At least 1 year of Salesforce or other CRM experience required
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional customer service skills
    • Is highly motivated and demonstrates superior self-control and discipline
    • Professional and confident demeanor and appearance
    • Attention to detail and strong follow-through
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
    • Ability to maintain a quiet and appropriate work environment, free of distractions during the workday
    • Must be able to work closely with the team in a virtual environment, utilizing technologies to communicate and make yourself accessible
    • Be flexible to assist with other duties and tasks as needed
    • Occasional travel required for company events and trade shows up to 10 days per month in some casesNot required, but preferred:
      • Experience or knowledge of law firm operations and or small business operations
      • Experience with client generation and business development strategies
      • Familiarity with the Sandler method of sales is a big plus
      • Work from home experience

          Work ScheduleThis job will require you to work from your home office weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.
