Inspect and assemble surgical instruments, ensuring proper sterilization, completeness, and functionality.

    Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment
      
    • Inspects instruments, equipment and containers to assure cleanliness and proper functioning
      
    • Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems
      
    • Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts
      
    • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
      
      Physical Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • Constant standing and walking
        
      • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
        
      • Frequent reaching and gripping
        
      • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
        
      • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
        
        Education and Experience:
        
        • 
          
        • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
          
        • No experience required
