We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to
join our growing team of consultants. As a Cloud Infrastructure
Architect, you will be responsible for the design, implementation,
and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise
clients across various industries. The ideal candidate should have
7-10 years of infrastructure architecture and implementation
experience with comprehensive knowledge and expertise in both
on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to lead
teams and interact with internal and external stakeholders. They
should be client-focused with a passion for delivering innovative
technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives
and requirements, and recommend cloud infrastructure solutions
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and
develop detailed technical designs and implementation plans
Manage cloud infrastructure projects from start to finish,
including scoping, planning, design, development, testing, and
deployment
Lead design, implementation and deployment of single-cloud,
multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions and
management strategies, including compute, virtualization, storage,
networking, databases, security, scalability, high availability,
automation and orchestration, and monitoring
Develop migration strategies for on-premises to cloud or cloud to
cloud migrations
Provide technical expertise to clients and project teams in the
areas of cloud infrastructure, security, management, and
optimization
Ensure cloud infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, highly
available, and secure, and meet industry standards and best
practices
Collaborate with clients to identify areas for improvement in their
existing cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for
optimization
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams
Provide technical guidance and support to clients
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for cloud infrastructure
solutions
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely
resolution
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and
other stakeholders
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the cloud
computing space and provide recommendations for incorporating them
into client solutions
Desired Qualifications
Comprehensive technical expertise in both on-prem and cloud
infrastructure, including Active Directory, server operating
systems (Windows and Linux), virtualization platforms (VMware,
Hyper-V, XenServer), storage (NAS, SAN, HCI, file-level,
object-level, block-level), networking (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load
balancing), backup (Azure Backup, AWS Backup), database platforms
(SQL, Azure SQL, AWS RDS), and management and monitoring tools
(Azure Cloud Shell, Azure Monitor, Azure Network Watcher, AWS
Systems Manager, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config)
Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud
infrastructure solutions with demonstrable experience deploying
enterprise workloads to Azure or AWS
Deep knowledge of security protocols and best practices for
securing cloud infrastructure, including access controls, IAM
policy, network security, and data protection
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform,
Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Azure Resource Manager, AWS SSM,
AWS CloudFormation
Comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure, protocols,
and security
Excellent leadership and collaboration abilities, with the ability
to lead teams to technology solutions that align with clients'
business goals
Understanding of enterprise architecture processes and frameworks,
including creating and maintaining roadmaps, strategies, and
standards, as well as designing conceptual and logical
architectures
Ability to research and assess emerging technologies and determine
their suitability for clients' requirements and evaluate current
infrastructure estate to develop strategies for modernizing and
retiring legacy platforms
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
assess complex problems and propose practical solutions with proven
track record of driving results
Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as
part of a team while handling diverse situations, multiple
projects, and rapidly changing priorities
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
related field
7+ years of experience in enterprise-scale on-prem and cloud
infrastructure design, implementation, migration, management and
optimization
Deep expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms. Azure
experience is a must.
Proven experience with leading large-scale deployment projects and
teams
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or
JavaScript
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to
non-technical stakeholders
Strong knowledge of security and compliance standards for cloud
infrastructure
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS
Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, or AWS Certified
Solutions Architect Professional certifications preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment
Willingness to travel
