Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the team of our Fitchburg,
WI-based biotechnology client. If you have previous experience in
this field, please apply today!Daily Responsibilities:Timely
execution of preventative maintenance on all Operations equipment
per approved preventative maintenance plans account for any
materials used during preventative maintenance, create work orders
for any tasks necessary for proper machine operation outside of the
preventative maintenance plan, and provide feedback to the
supervisor on the improvement of preventative maintenance plan
tasksMaintain up-to-date bills of materials, manuals, and drawings
to support uptime and proper machine operation of all Operations
equipmentTimely and efficient response to demand (unplanned)
maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime, communicate
the root cause of failure, and solve problems correctly from the
startProvide technical support and expertise for all Operations
equipment and systems and manage/review all critical systems and
equipment to maintain their efficient and reliable operationPerform
routine fabrication, assembly, installation, operation,
maintenance, modification, and testing of electrical and mechanical
components, apparatus, and equipmentReducing manufacturing costs
through the identification of changes to components and processes
that will reduce raw material costs and/or process time. Implement
changes with proper timing, documentation, planning, and
communication within the client equipment change policiesProvide
assistance and participation in projects that involve new equipment
introduction. Assist engineers, architects, and project/process
owners to develop specifications, install, and test equipmentWork
closely with Facilities Maintenance, Operations Engineering,
Quality, and Operations to ensure open communication,
prioritization, and coordination of repair and maintenance work.
Act as a liaison to meet their needs and provide superior customer
service when addressing needs, situations, and requestsRead
blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine
methods and means to solve problemsTest performance of
electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as
oscilloscopes and electronic voltmetersVerify dimensions and
clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using
precision measuring instrumentsOperate, test, maintain, repair,
and/or troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human
Machine Interfaces (HMI), robotics, vision systems, sensors, and
servo controllersPerform work in accordance with practices,
priorities, and assignments as requested by managementOther
responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications:Associate's
degree in Industrial Maintenance, Robotics & Controls, Engineering
Technology, or similar technical discipline, plus 3 years of
experience in equipment maintenance, OR equivalent experience with
a minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a
related fieldAbility to be flexible with schedule and adjust to
department needs including the ability to be on-call once a
monthKnowledge of mechanical and electrical theory and mechanics of
materials. Solid knowledge of equipment, systems, and techniques
appropriate to debugging mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical,
and automated equipmentDemonstrated skills in analyzing,
troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic, mechanical,
robotic, and electromechanical systemsComputer literacyQuick
learner with excellent attention to detail and accuracyExcellent
written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple
projects and maintain a high degree of organizationAbility to work
independently and as a part of a teamDesired
Qualifications:Associate's degree in Mechanical Maintenance or a
similar programExperience with automated packaging and process
systems and components, including PLC programming
(Allen-Bradley)Experience in an ISO 9000, FDA GMP, or
USDA-regulated environment where gowning is requiredAutoCAD and/or
SolidWorks experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to occasionally
move objects up to 100 poundsAbility to work in areas of limited
space and varying environmental temperaturesAbility to observe and
inspect equipment for proper operation and compliance with safety
and housekeeping standardsAbility to work in the following
environments- production environment around automated equipment,
office environment utilizing a computer workstation, and lab
environment with chemical and biological materialsAbility to travel
by car or airplane, for one or several days, to suppliers,
