Description:Job Description:Designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Primary Responsibilities Include:--- Constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining our equipment, components, devices, or systems--- Ensure our systems and components meet established specifications--- Responsible for tool control program--- Precision cleaning of components/parts--- General production floor cleaningDay to Day:- This engineering tech may also be responsible for building cable harnesses/cables, soldering (everything but flight components to start - items such as circuit boards), crimp building, assembling different space objects, cargo, building 2nd/3rd stage propulsion engines/rockets, & various other assemblies. - Cleaning is also a big part of this they will be required to precision clean components and keep the facility overall spotless. This requires full covering with a suit on using various cleaning solutions. - They will also need to be able to operate their parts tracking program working on tool control in the tool crib. This is important whenever a random audit occurs. - They have training that will enable them to be able to to work on the flight components after some time.Top Skills:Engineering design, CAD, SolidWorks, manufacturing, aerospace/defense industry, manufacturing floor, electrical wiring, wire harnessAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications:--- Associate's degree in a related field of study and at least 2 years of relevant experience--- A higher level degree may substitute for experience--- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education--- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals--- Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power toolsPreferred:--- Previous experience and/or certifications within the aerospace and defense industry--- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment--- Experience with AutoCAD or other 3-D CAD softwareExperience Level:Entry Level About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
