Job Description:

Position Summary: Sr. Cost Analyst will be responsible for identifying key financial opportunities, and leading key improvement initiatives.
Key Activities:

• Build Relationships at all levels of the plant including Core Team, Team Leaders, & Floor Members; Earn a seat at the table for both formal and informal meetings
• Integrate and demonstrate the company way by engaging members to achieve required business results; Act as a role model and coach
• Turn Data into Insight; communicate the what, why (drivers & trends), so what (ask rich questions, leveraging relationships to drive improvement), and what next
• Bring numbers to Life; use clear & concise dashboards; translate numbers to a message; relate message to themes people relate to and understand easily
• Lead the forecasting and annual budgeting process for Watertown. Ensure that facility processes are streamlined and align with overall company processes
• Deliver for Results; Take a leadership role in ensuring that the facility cost savings pipeline meets expectations for the current and future years
• Guide the Commercial teams in developing meaningful and reliable product cost estimates for new products by leveraging operational expertise from project team members
• Critically evaluate new business opportunities; Participate and provide insight for proposed capital (IRR, cost savings, post-mortems) & productivity projects (continuous improvement)
• Identify best practices and work with the Fresh Cost Manager to implement across the network. Required Qualification:
  • Five (5) years of analytical experience in a manufacturing environment; cost accounting and analytics experience strongly preferred; CMA a plus but not required.
  • Experience in food or consumer packaged goods a plus but not required.
  • Experience working with and/or developing meaningful operational reporting and guiding operations members on interpreting and using financial reporting.
