**This position will work from our Gays Mills, WI facility**
Position Summary: We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician who is passionate about solving complex problems while assisting in the development of high quality products. The Electrical Engineering Technician will work directly with Engineers for all phases of embedded hardware design including technical analysis of product requirements, recommendation of design alternatives, functional specifications, schematic design, PCB layout, hardware debug, hardware verification testing, and release to manufacturing. We are looking for a creative technician who can bring ideas, solve challenges, and help drive our products into production on schedule, at cost target, and with great quality.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Automate production processes to assure that product meets specifications
  • Build test fixtures
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software for Production
  • Automate data gathering
  • Maintain master calibration database
  • Execute test plans created by Test Engineers
  • Evaluate new product design for testability and manufacturability
  • Conduct research to identify various hardware and software options, for budgetary concerns
  • Verification and validation of new product hardware
  • Create accurate validation test reports
  • Assemble and rework PCB prototypes
  • Troubleshoot RMAs to determine failures to component level
  • Assist design engineers in product development
  • Analysis of Production test data - Prepare reports on test results, constraints, problems
  • Maintain records and files of all work as directed
    Requirements:
    • Associates Degree Required, (Bachelors preferred) Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    • Experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and programmable power supplies required
    • Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry and able to read detailed schematics required
    • Experience building test fixtures and equipment required
    • Experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access) required
    • Experience and knowledge of Technical writing required
    • Knowledge of National Instruments Development Suite and LabVIEW preferred
    • Experience in the mechanical design of functional test equipment preferred
    • Knowledge of and experience in the HVAC industry preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and cool in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and pleasant manner
    • Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn on the job and problem solve
    • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, focus, organization and a willingness to work toward defined goals
    • Must be very flexible and supportive of changing requirements

      Physical efforts (e.g. repetitive lifting, bending stooping, or other physical effort required):
      • Bending/Stooping
      • Visual ability to observe fine details through microscope
      • Manual Dexterity to handle and manipulate small pieces requiring a microscope
      • General mobility throughout facility Standing or sitting for most of the shift Domestic/International Travel: None
        This position offers a Monday through Friday dayshift schedule with minimal nights and weekends, but this position may require for the employee to work a longer shift to meet deadlines, complete goals and address needs of the position.
