As a result, you will find a culture that supports and inspires conservation achievement and personal development, both within the workplace and beyond.YOUR POSITION WITH TNCThe Wisconsin Executive Coordinator plays a central role in the life of the Wisconsin Chapter, working closely with the State Director and colleagues to ensure productive and timely communication and careful attention to detail to help advance the strategic priorities of the Conservancy in Wisconsin. They provide direct administrative support to the Wisconsin State Director and in that role serve as liaison to the Wisconsin Board of Trustees.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Executive Coordinator collaborates closely with the Wisconsin State Director, serves as a primary point of contact for each member of the Board of Trustees, and communicates with internal and external audiences both within and beyond Wisconsin. The Executive Coordinator serves as an ad hoc member of the Wisconsin development team, helping to ensure seamless coordination with the State Director and careful stewardship of donor relationships. They provide meeting coordination and administrative support for quarterly meetings of the Board of Trustees and other quarterly meetings of Trustees and monthly meetings of the Chapter leadership team. They are responsible for a variety of administrative support tasks, which include domestic and international travel arrangements, calendar management, answering phones, drafting correspondence, processing expenses, and scheduling and coordinating logistics of meetings and special events. As a member of the Chapter operations team, the Executive Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues to help implement processes and practices to improve Chapter effectiveness, incorporating research and/or extensive knowledge of industry trends, policies and procedures. The Executive Coordinator will be responsible for activities with multiple variables, setting realistic deadlines and managing timelines. They will communicate on behalf of the State Director with staff from across the Conservancy, as well as with leaders in philanthropy, business, government, communities and the environment.RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPEAct independently on assigned tasks and exercise independent judgment based on analysis and experience; work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines;Work within scope of program's strategic goals;Coordinate projects with several variables, work within a defined timeline and budget;Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information;Perform non-routine analysis, research and follow-through;Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements;Make purchases, process invoices, contract with vendors, and assist with budget preparation;May act as a resource to others to solve problems and act in supervisor's stead when instructed;May supervise administrative and/or volunteer staff, including training and professional development;Provide input through project teams for the improvement of existing programs;Refer difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor;Travel and work flexible hours; andWork environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree and 2 years' experience or equivalent combination;Experience generating reports and interpreting data;Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading;Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines; andExperience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of peopleDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMulti-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;Ability to analyze information for the purpose of coordinating and planning activities, and solving problems;Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results;Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results;Experience working with a board of directors, donors, volunteers, the public, and/or all levels of staff; and/orStrong organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detailHOW TO APPLYTo apply to position number 48186, submit resume (required) and cover letter separately using the upload buttons.
