Save Education - Bachelor's Degree - Master's Degree Skills - Budgeting - Leadership Experience - Supervising Experience Position Summary: The Nutrition Program Administrator provides leadership and management for the Milwaukee County FoodWIse Program. The Nutrition Program Administrator will be responsible for staff training and supervision, program planning, evaluation and reporting, and developing and managing the local program budget. This position is a part of the Extension Institute for Health & Well-Being with programmatic emphasis in the FoodWIse Program. FoodWIse works collaboratively with local agencies/organizations to deliver evidence-based education strategies, accompanied by policy, systems and environmental supports, designed to facilitate voluntary adoption of healthy food choices and active lifestyles for people with limited income. FoodWIse is federally funded by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) grants. This position reports directly to the Area Extension Director for supervision, employment changes, compensation and benefits and performance reviews. This FoodWIse Nutrition Program Administrator position is located in Milwaukee County; specific location and programming coverage is contingent on continued availability of federal funds and may be reassigned to align with funder and Extension programming priorities. For more information on diversity and inclusion on campus, please visit: Diversity and Inclusion Degree and Area of Specialization:Required: Bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences, dietetics, community health education, public health, family and consumer sciences, social work or related field Preferred: Master's degree in a field relevant to the programmatic responsibilities of the position Experience in budget development and fiscal management Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:Required: Experience supervising and managing staff At least 2 years of relevant field and work experience in the area of programming and service delivery Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work cooperatively with other agencies and other community-based organizations Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of methods and technology Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while maintaining high quality work Ability to effectively work with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity Preferred: Demonstrated skills in developing, implementing and evaluating direct education programs and policy, systems and environmental change interventions designed to support behavior change Demonstrated skills in interpreting, utilizing, anding evidence-based information and research findings Demonstrated success in developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs for diverse audiences utilizing a variety of educational techniques, methods, and modes Demonstrated experience developing effective partnerships or coalitions with community partners and local governments Demonstrated ability to think creatively, identify root causes, systems of influence and synthesize inter-disciplinary approaches to conceptualizing and ressing health equity work itional Information: Please note that successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.
