• BLS/ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY

  • We are seeking a Registered Nurse to: Nurses will provide intensive care to patients who are acutely ill from a neurological deficit.
  • This unit specializes in subarachnoid hemorrhages, unstable ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.
  • The Neuroscience ICU is a 16-bed ICU which provides ICP monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring of unstable patients.
  • The Neuroscience ICU will provide nurses the opportunity to work with severe neurological, neurovascular and neurosurgical populations.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have experience in ICP or ventric.
    • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
    • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar-sized hospital.
    • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
      • Schedule Information
      • Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
      • Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions).
      • Floating: Travelers are the first to float.
      • The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs.
      • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete the contract.

        • Traveler must have permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile).
