Job Purpose
Responsible to perform troubleshooting and repair of machines in Strip tech, Print press, Roman, Slitter, and Pleating departments. Floater for pac-line, assembler, trainer, and material handler.

Job Duties

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problem through direct evaluation and information obtained from other sources, on all departmental production machines.
• Determine if safety issue exists; if so, follow lock out/tag out procedures
• Assess need for replacement part(s).
• Obtain spare part through stock, use of equipment manual or Internet
• Perform repairs to machine, electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulics
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance work orders when needed
• Tear down/repair/reassemble tooling
• Test reassembled manufacturing equipment for quality and safety before returning to floor
• May serve as a back-up in production capacity
• Perform orienations for new associates, to ensure proper training of all associates
• Know, understand, and contribute to cost savings
• Revise and maintain all work instructions
• Perform material handing duties for all lines
• Perform other related work, as needed/or given by direction of leadership
  
  Requirements
  
  Education and Experience
  
  • Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 year relevant experience
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    
    • Prefer 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
    • Knowledge of operating machinery
    • Ability to work independently
    • Willingness to work overtime is required
      Willing to travel occasionally
      
      Physical Requirements
      
      • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
      • Must be able to stand and walk for 10 hours per day
      • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend
      • Must be able to climb ladder occasionally
      • Hand/eye coordination
      • Wear required PPE at all times for the job being performed
