EHS Workers Comp Specialist
Who you are
You will guide the development and execution of Foremost Farms
worker s compensation program across the entire cooperative
(multi-location), in partnership with the corporate EHS team and
plant management staff.
You will investigate opportunities for continued success with
onsite conservative treatment of minor injuries, maintaining an
account with third party case management.
You will support manufacturing locations in EHS compliance efforts
with database management and recordkeeping efforts for regulatory
compliance assurance.
You will upload training and inspection records into an internal
database for audit readiness for internal audits and third-party
regulatory inspections.
You will support plant safety coordinators and corporate EHS team
members in execution of regulatory compliance standards by
maintaining third party service agreements and procurement of EHS
supplies.
You will track issuance of testing and monitoring equipment loaned
to plant locations and maintain calibration schedules and
recordkeeping of industrial hygiene equipment including fume hood
velocity testing recordkeeping.
You will support current and future continuous improvement efforts
with EHS standardization across the Cooperative.
You will assist with capital project submittals, purchase
requisitions, purchase orders, payment of invoices, and other
departmental administrative duties.
You have previous experience managing worker s compensation.
You are proficient with Microsoft applications and databases.
You have previous experience managing Safety/EHS in a manufacturing
environment.
You have a bachelor s degree in occupational safety or related
field, or other technical degree.
You have experience working in the food / dairy industry.
What you will own
You will support the Director of EHS, and Foremost Farms
USA company
initiatives for risk reduction, injury prevention, and EHS
regulatory compliance.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and
implementation of a workers
compensation program, and the ongoing administration of the
program.
Some of your responsibilities also include development of EHS
databases and the ongoing administration of existing EHS management
systems software. Developing leading and lagging indicators,
maintaining training and inspection compliance recordkeeping, and
other departmental duties as assigned.
Your key to success will be the ability to build trust and
confidence with the Operations team and help lead change, in
accordance with regulatory standards and company policies and
procedures.
