Job Description:
Eaton's Electrical and Engineering Systems and Services Team is
currently seeking a OT Cyber Security Technical Specialist to join
our team, and be a part of new initiatives within Eaton, including
rolling out Global Cyber Security Projects for our factories. This
position is based remotely and can be anywhere within the
continental US. Depending on location, travel is required (up to
50%).
Position Overview:
The cyber security technical specialist acts as a subject matter
expert for all things OT Cybersecurity. The successful candidate
will perform vulnerability and risk assessments of customer's OT
network. They will detect and mitigates security risks, respond to
product security incidents, and work with customers regarding
product security related issues. They will lead or participates in
security architecture and design review meetings.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Electrical/Computer
Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science) from an
accredited institution OR a minimum of 5 years of experience
working in cybersecurity.
No relocation is being offered for this position.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company
sponsorship.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with industrial control systems such as SCADA,
Power Management, Power or Building Management Systems
Security Certifications from GIAC (GICSP, GRID, GCIP, GIHC, CISSP,
CompTIA Security+))
Networking certifications (CCT, CCENT, CCNA)
Experience with Cloud Integrations
Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V)
Position Criteria:
Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton's safety
program and policies
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted drivers' license
Periodically submit to drug & background screens as required by
customers for on-site work
Strong knowledge of ISA 62243, IEC 27001, NIST SP 800, NIST CSF,
NERC CIP
Understanding of Purdue Model and applications to ICS
cybersecurity
Experience hardening server and workstation operating systems
Working knowledge of security tools such as: IDA Pro, Kali,
Wireshark etc.
Responsible for planning and performing threat, risk assessment,
and mitigation strategies
Involved in the analysis and handling of security vulnerabilities
and incidents in collaboration with Product Cybersecurity CoE
Will interface with sales for quoting and scoping of projects
Work closely with Product Cybersecurity COE to drive product
strategies and priorities with engineering, sales, and support
teams
Train other field engineers on cybersecurity best practices
Working knowledge of industrial and IoT communication protocols
such as Modbus, BACNet, SNMP, OPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, and other
Fieldbus Protocols
Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) software
Intermediate Networking skills including the ability to
troubleshoot all layers of OSI model (cabling to application
protocols)
Ability to interface with internal and external customers,
salespeople, and other team members on a technical level.
Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate
with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent
with internal and external market practices. The annual salary
range for this role is $96,000 - $132,000.
