Job Description:
Position Summary
Transform lives by being responsible for converting students from
application to enrollment and ensuring applicants meet all
admissions requirements prior to enrolling. Additionally, the
Admissions Specialist regularly communicates with and advises
applicants on admissions and course placement requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary resource for and closely assist and guide
students through the enrollment process.
Advise students on admissions and course placement
requirements.
Proactively contact and follow up with students, including setting
up appointments, to ensure enrollment progress is made.
Responsible for working with high school registrar offices to
ensure transcripts are sent prior to enrolling.
Conduct extensive outreach to applicants via phone, email, and mail
correspondence.
Analyze, manage, and problem solve strategies to remove admission
barriers for new and returning students.
Work collaboratively with Student Services departments on leading
student through the enrollment journey.
Engage in one-to-one student recruitment activities including
phone, email, texting, and direct mailing.
Input, track, and provide reports on individual student enrollment
activity utilizing the customer relationship management (CRM)
system.
Coordinate and track campaign events through CRM system.
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications department to develop
specialized recruitment materials and marketing campaigns for
specific audiences.
Process admissions applications and program changes, using a
variety of databases and systems.
Maintain a high level of working knowledge of admissions procedures
and systems.
Provide information and guidance to students and staff regarding
admission policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Communication, Marketing, Sales, or related
field required.
Minimum of one year experience in a college student services
environment or service-oriented role required.
Knowledge of marketing techniques, student recruitment
methodologies and customer relationship management required.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Student Administration, Microsoft Office
and CRM systems or ability to learn systems required.
Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and
communication skills.
