Job Description:

Job Purpose The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in the Safety Department and is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing company's policies and procedures. The main duty of this position is to ensure drivers' compliance with FMCSA guidelines and routinely train new and existing drivers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities In charge of making and maintaining DOT driver files as required by FMCSA rules and regulations. Verifying driver credentials and history per FMCSA, PSP, MVR. Maintaining safety files. Tracks training and compliance Perform portion of orientation relating to Driver requirements in regard to safety, performance, and expectations. Monitors new hire trainees. Involved in safety meetings. Creates safety reports as needed. May deliver safety and driver training. Administers Drug and Alcohol program.Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position.
