Required:

• Proficient with Microsoft .NET technologies and MS SQL Server, including ASP.Net Core, ASP MVC, Microsoft Entity Framework, and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and SASS.
• Demonstrated understanding of software development best practices, including source control with Git, common design patterns, code re-factoring, re-use, and test-driven development.
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• A value of promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• A willingness to engage in and deepen knowledge of WIDA's Social Justice value. Preferred:
  
  • Experience with a Single Page Application framework like Angular or React.

The Software Developer position is located within WIDA's Administration and Operations department and will report to the Assistant Director of Information Technology. This position will be responsible for helping to develop and support our WIDA Secure Portal, accessed by over 100,000 educators annually, who use it to explore WIDA digital learning opportunities and resources. The Secure Portal is integrated with our Learning Management System, Canvas, and collects data to report information to the WIDA Consortium members. The team responsible for the Secure Portal utilizes Agile development to deliver new functionality and enhancements to existing functionality.
