Job Description:

Assist the Director of Community Life to ensure the development, organization and coordination of facility and community resources designed to meet the needs and interests of each resident to encompass the seven dimensions of wellness.Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as tenants, their families, staff and the community.
  • Maintain community life systems as required by state/federal regulations.
  • Promote and integrate the wellness dimensions into the community life programs.
  • Provide individual programming determined by resident preference and need.
  • Communicate and coordinate the Wellness and Community Life functions with other departments in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness.
  • Communicate programs and develop positive relations with residents, family, and volunteers.
  • Participate in Care Conferences.
  • Attend and participate in Community Life department and other required meetings.
  • Maintain Community Life department and other community supplies and equipment.
  • Work with volunteers as assigned by CL Department Supervisor.
  • Assist with planning and leadership of special events as assigned.
  • Obtain training to drive community van for resident outings
  • Provide orientation and training to staff as needed, including participating in new hire onboarding and in-service education.
    • Must be adaptable, flexible to changes, and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted.
    • Maintain a positive attitude in relation to customer service program.
    • Comply with established safety rules and regulations.
    • Promptly reports accidents, incidents, and unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment to supervisor.
    • Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding resident's rights.
    • Abide by the facility's policies, procedures and practices.
      • Participate in and support Quality efforts throughout the facility.
      • Attend meetings and mandatory in-services.
        • Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan.
          • All other duties as needed.
            Code of ConductMust adhere to Company's Code of Conduct policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities.Qualifications
            • High school graduate or equivalent.
            • Experience in health care is preferred.
            • Advanced computer skills, including email use.
            • Previous training in general office duties and equipment is preferred.
            • Exceptional telephone and communication skills and the desire to work closely with senior adults are essential.
            • Must be compassionate toward the elderly, work with tact and ethical awareness, and ensure personal tenant information is kept confidential.
              • Clear understanding that all injuries/accidents must be reported to a supervisor immediately.
              • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families and employees.
              • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
              • Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
                • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
