Summary of Major ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor, Accounts Payable assists in the ongoing development and performance of the accounts payable team. This role will be the subject matter expert in the accounts payable process and provide continuous support to the team members. The primary responsibilities include providing supervision, hiring, training, coaching, managing, and assigning workloads, and handling escalated concerns. The Supervisor, Accounts Payable will use cross-functional collaboration as an integral part of success in this role.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to, the following:* Assist in developing productivity metrics and actively monitor and report on those metrics.* Actively participate in the creation of procedure documents to be used by the team to conduct daily tasks.* Act as subject matter expert of procedures and processes and provide guidance when inquiries are received.* Assist in identification and reporting of system errors and workflow solutions.* Apply critical thinking when breaking down processes to understand errors that may have occurred.* Identify and share best practices and drive for continuous improvement of the customer experience.* Assist in creating and aligning function goals to that of the organization.* Provide escalation support.* Conduct all assigned job duties in a timely and productive manner.* Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.* Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.* Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.* Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.* Exercise discipline and self-motivation to stay focused on a task and work independently.* Ability to inspire and motivate others and work effectively through influence and collaboration.* Possess a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build strong working relationships with vendors as well as peers at all levels of the organization.* Ability to interact, coordinate, and communicate effectively both with vendors and internal customers.* Apply solid verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.* Ability to be adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.* Ability to follow established processes and procedures and understand downstream impact.* Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.* Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.* Maintain regular and reliable attendance.* Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.* Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).* 6+ years of experience working in an accounts payable role or similar function, advancing in duties and responsibilities.* 2+ years of experience directly or indirectly leading others.* Demonstrated ability to work with accounts payable tools and systems.* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.* Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.* Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
