Job Description:

Webcrafters, Inc. is looking for new talent to join our team working in our Press department at our Fordem Ave plant.   These are full time positions with overtime on weekends anticipated and required.  Training is provided. 


Interested applicants should 

  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Be quality and production oriented
  • Be able to take direction from lead workers
  • Be able to handle working with large machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Be able to stand on your feet for 12 hours 
  • Must be able to lift various materials weighing up to 10 lbs. continuously and materials weighing up to 20-40 lbs. occasionally. (Lifting requirements may vary by Department)
  • High school diploma or 18 years of age


These positions pay between $16.00 – $19.00 per hour based on department and shift.

JOB PURPOSE:  Perform a variety of physical tasks, some involving very repetitive handwork, working with Web Press crews stacking and/or bundling signatures or covers on pallets, changing plates, changing rolls of paper and washing blankets.  Must also keep work area and machines continuously clean.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  The following duties and approximate for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.



  • JOGGING:  This requires working with bundling machine and/or stacking lifts of signatures on pallets and moving pallets to designated areas.
  • CLEANING:  This requires sweeping work areas, mopping up grease/oil spills, wiping machines down, cleaning ink fountains, etc.
  • CHANGING ROLLS ON PASTER:  This requires moving 1000 to 2000 lb. rolls of paper into position to be hoisted into the press and preparing the roll for the next press run or continuation of the present run.
  • CHANGING PLATES:  This requires removing plates already printed from and inserting new plates to be used for the next run and preparing the finished printed plates for storage.
  • WASHING BLANKETS:  This requires cleaning ink from press blankets and preparing the blankets for the next run.
  • SAFETY: Complies with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Monitors for safety hazards and reports any safety-related concerns.


JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be able to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.  Must be able to read sufficiently to identify various printed forms and count accurately.   


PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to paper dust, inks, chemicals, lubricants, noise and heat, and the physical hazards of machinery.
