We are seeking a Medical
Join a clinical team of physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses
and medical assistants in a multi-specialty clinic. Within the
UW Health at The American Center Specialty Clinic, you will have
the opportunity to work within the specialties of General Surgery,
Urology and Endocrinology (Fine Needle Aspiration for
Thyroid). This position offers the opportunity to participate
in cross functional teams across the organization to support a
seamless patient experience.
Work in collaboration with the team to provide patient
Room patients, take vitals, assist with clinic procedures, and
Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Minimum – Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program,
licensure as an LPN, completion of the UW Health Medical Assistant
certification program or completion of CCMA as a UW Health
Minimum – Will consider new Medical Assistant and LPN
Preferred – One (1) year experience as a Certified Medical
Assistant or LPN.
Minimum – Certified
as CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification
must be obtained within one year of hire from date of hire. CPR/BLS
Required Skills, Knowledge, and
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to make judgments in demanding situations.
Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of
Commitment to respectful patient and family-centered
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent
lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25
