Directs, supervises, and coordinates maintenance activities in
their assigned area to ensure that equipment, buildings, and
systems operate efficiently while meeting the overall facility
Required Skills and Experience
- Provides troubleshooting assistance and coaching to the
maintenance colleagues as needed. Mentors colleagues in the
problem-solving process and the use of BOMs, Dispatch data, and the
- Analyzes equipment failures, reviews Dispatch data, and
critiques PM tasks to find opportunities to continuously improve,
eliminate waste, and get to root cause failure modes and assures
appropriate “permanent fix” is put in place.
- Audits maintenance work to ensure good practices are being
maintained and standards are achieved.
- Creates weekly and daily schedules assigning planned work for
all available colleague hours. Attends daily and weekly
schedule meetings to coordinate work and reach consensus with Value
- Conducts Tier 2 meetings at the start of each day ensuring
safety is a priority and the scope of each job is understood.
- Attends Value Stream Tier 3 meetings as needed to ensure Value
Stream priorities are being addressed and to further communicate
the day’s maintenance activities
- Monitors department spending and continuously looks for
opportunities to reduce cost.
- Conducts maintenance colleague appraisals and addresses
maintenance performance issues.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: 2-year technical degree, or
significant hands-on maintenance experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
0- 2+ years of a suitable level of maintenance supervisory
4-year Engineering degree preferred
Working Relationships & Environment
Works closely with Value Stream Managers & Supervisors and other
Maintenance Supervisors. Also receives significant direction and
training from Maintenance Manager and/or Sr. Maintenance
Supervisor. Directly supervises the activities of hourly or
non-exempt maintenance personnel. Requires contact with internal
plant personnel and functional departments, counterparts at other
Energizer facilities as well as arranging for and supervising
