Laboratory Resource Coordinator in our
Madison, WI facility.
In this role you will play a critical role supporting our
laboratory operations inventory management, ordering of supplies,
equipment management and maintaining reference materials. You will
also be expected to:
Ensures project-related supplies are available to operations staff
in a reliable and timely manner.
Monitors correspondence to anticipate incoming
Enters information and assumes responsibility for accuracy of our
electronic notebook system
Coordinates resolution of reference standard issues with Principal
Investigator/Study Director and lab staff.
Ensures reference standards are stored appropriately and units are
Maintains accurate equipment inventory, including maintenance
Ensures equipment is calibrated on time and coordinates calibration
intervals with vendors/staff.
Maintains records for equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for...
Laboratory Resource Coordinators are the most successful at Covance
by Labcorp with:
Previous procurement experience and establishing/maintaining vendor
Previous experience managing inventories for laboratories, medical
offices, university departments, etc.
Knowledge of computers and software applications, especially word
processing, highly desired (preferably MSWord, WP, Excel,
Basic understanding of laboratory environment.
Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage a workload for large
and complex projects.
Great organization and time management skills.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with excellent
attention to detail.

of Science/Arts (BS/BA) or equivalent degree in life sciences or
may be substituted for education. For example, a two-year
Associate degree plus 4 years applicable experience with increasing
responsibility may be substituted for a BS/BA degree.
of study design supply requirements in applicable Chemistry
of computers and software applications, especially word processing,
highly desired (preferably MSWord, WP, Excel, CMS).
of 3 years of related experience
- Six Sigma
greenbelt training preferred
of Covance SOPs, P&Ps as well as regulatory agency guidelines
