Modern Applications Principal
SafeNet Consulting is searching for Principal Consultants to help expand solution offerings and help clients navigate disruption. Our Solution offerings are aimed to deliver potentially game-changing outcomes for our clients by building better business capabilities and capitalizing on emerging technologies. We seek clients that recognize the need for transformation and rely upon us for experience, perspective, and execution.
This role has heavy emphasis on the ability to position SafeNet Consulting as thought leaders in the age of disruption. Candidate will be adept at driving conversation on building software solutions that deliver a better experience and value. This includes full stack application development, integrating systems, advising on architectural choices and strategy for handling technical debt. Business acumen is of equal importance as technical experience and aptitude.
Principal Consultants play a pivotal role in our organization and participate in many aspects of our business. This includes, but is not limited to: Marketing, Sales, Delivery, and Recruiting. Principal Consultants have billable responsibilities to the level needed that drive growth and profitability metrics for the Modern Applications offering. There is potential for nation-wide travel of 10% though a growing number of client needs are handled remotely.
**This is a salaried position with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Location is flexible.**
Responsibilities:-- Define and evolve solution offerings that articulate: o Value proposition o Ideal stakeholder(s) o Delivery methodology and project deliverables -- Engage clients by delivering and facilitating: o Technology primers o Workshops o Product Visioning o Technology Strategy o Program/Project planning -- Partner with other Principal Consultants to position integrated solutions (e.g. Modern Applications, Cloud Adoption) -- Actively participate as a contributor and thought leader in industry groups (e.g. Meetups, Conferences, Consortiums) -- Create content in the form of sales collateral, website content/tools, video, and blog -- Present compelling content via webinars/events and video series -- Assist Sales in developing and evaluating opportunities -- Design Solutions and assist Engagement Management to evaluate Risk, Issues, and Opportunities in order to meet client objectives -- Partner with Sales to draft Statements of Work (SOW) for solution offerings -- Earn trusted advisor credibility with clients -- Deliver consulting services as a Solution Architect -- Assist Recruiting with identifying and qualifying consulting candidates -- Partner with Consulting Management to coach, mentor, and develop talent within the organization -- Assist executive leadership with seeking and developing strong partner relationships -- Ongoing research and evaluation of business and technology trends to advise how SafeNet strategy can be adapted -- Lead SafeNet Hackathons
Required Experience & Skills: -- 10+ years of experience architecting and delivering full stack Microsoft-based software solutions; preferably C#, .NET Frameworks, Entity Framework, MVC-- Experience in custom application development, single-page application development (e.g. Angular, React), mobile framework components, WebAPI design, microservices architecture, containers, IoT (Internet of Things) development-- Experience in other programming languages a plus (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Java) -- Broad understanding of many Microsoft Azure services (e.g. Power Platform, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure DevOps) -- 10+ years working with many data store types (e.g. relational, No SQL, BLOB storage) -- 5+ years working in Agile delivery models (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) -- 3+ years performing pre-sales activities -- 3+ years consulting experience -- Demonstrable experience in advising, designing, and implementing software architecture -- Demonstrable experience in advising on technical debt -- Experience engaging with executive stakeholders as well as technical experts -- Experience establishing and adapting proven methodology -- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. -- Proactive risk management, issue evaluation/escalation/resolution -- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
