What the Director, Information Technology - US will
Ensure that global and local IT activities are supporting the
LEO Pharma US business in the most effective way.
Ensure that both IT investment and operational budgets are
managed to create the best possible value for LEO Pharma.
Ensure that the US IT team has the competencies necessary to
fulfill all requirements and that the appropriate recruitment's are
Ensure that the agreed strategic global as well as US local IT
targets are met for the effectiveness of the US IT
Assume overall accountability for the value creation of IT for
the US business in all functions and ensure that IT delivers the
expected business outcome.
Proactively engage with senior stakeholders in business,
innovate and identify new ways of improving processes and create
value from data and analytics-driven digital business
Provide governance for sourcing, architecture, project/program
execution on US IT by establishing/maintaining a local operating
model in accordance with the global operating model.
Keep US leadership and business stakeholders up to date on IT
Roadmap, Project Execution, Application Health and Service
Provide consultation and thought leadership to Global IT teams
on the local demand, business and market, technology trends, and
industry regulations and compliance.
Ensure adherence of IT Governance model in accordance with IT
Act as escalation point when issues arise with resources to
manage and resolve disputes or conflicts.
Drive professional development and growth within the US IT
Serve as local POC for all IT needs.
Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned
by LEO Pharma within the required timeline.
Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or
8 to 10 years’ experience delivering IT services, computer
system technology operation and support.
Minimum 2 years’ experience managing direct reports.
Broad and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and
the global conditions that shape the industry’s strategic
Experience in developing and optimizing IT supported processes
across multiple functions in a business context.
Experience in developing commercial digital solutions for US
Experience in managing IT teams that deliver both projects and
operational value combining global platforms, outsourced services
as well as local initiatives in the US.
Knowledge of compliance/validation in a regulated industry,
ideally from the Pharma industry.
Builds relationships with stakeholders within and outside
Strong and motivating IT manager that drives excellence in
Drives successful implementations of platforms to ensure
delivery in a global and multi-cultural environment as well as the
US business context.
Travel 5%; some global travel required.
