Director, Sales Inventory and Operations Director, Sales Inventory and Operations (S&OP) Location: Mukwonago, WI or Cary, IL

Reports to: Supply Chain B+H NA Director

Job Description & Summary Position Summary

This position will drive a best in class Sales, Inventory, and Operations (SIOP) process to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns, and working capital. In this role, you will demonstrate executive presence, analytical thinking, clear communication, a passion for continuous improvement, and a strong ability to manage cross-functionally.

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities Execute all facets of the S&OP process to provide an optimum customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization's business operating plans and strategic objectives.

Leverage the SIOP five step process to align all functions on short and long-term growth strategies.

Builds and manages relationships across sales, marketing, operations and finance at various levels to drive and ensure alignment across functions.

Lead scenario-based modeling to make difficult business decisions and calculated risks.

Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy and process through clearly defined metrics. Drive best-in-class SIOP processes to help transform the organization.

Lead the team responsible for demand planning, supply planning and inventory analysis.

Supervise, coach, guide and develop team members. Leading to overall professional development and overall talent pipeline succession planning.

Partner with marketing and sales to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term), ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.

Maintain forecasts and manage links between systems for forecasting and production scheduling.

Recommend and maintain optimal inventory levels at various stages in the supply chain in order to achieve customer satisfaction levels as well as mitigate inventory exposure.

Identify any potential constraints with machinery, tooling, people or suppliers and develop a supply plan and countermeasures.

Evaluate supplier delivery performance and capability, building into the S&OP process risk mitigating approaches to manage supplier performance variation.

Summarize sales, inventory and operations plan into standardized, succinct management report. Ability to present complex details to various levels of the organization.

Establish deep domain expertise and high-performance culture

Acts as a change-agent leader who provides vision, direction, and strategy across S&OP processes.

Responsible for alignment with Aptar Global best practices for S&OP process and tools

Holds appropriate personnel accountable for agreed actions for mitigation of risks or opportunities as identified in S&OP, escalating as appropriate.

May meet with customers to describe the Aptar S&OP process and or speak to demand and supply strategies.

Required Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree with majors in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent experience as determined by management.

MBA preferred

Experience

Eight + years’ experience in S&OP, IBP, SIOP or Supply Chain in in a fast paced and competitive environment

Demonstrated experience in leading through influence in highly matrixed structure.

5+ years of direct people leader experience of an operations-related team

Experience in leading supply, inventory, and operations planning process; evidence of solid career progression with increasing responsibility in supply chain.

Skills

Proven ability to drive accountability and deliver consistent and sustainable results.

Building, developing, and leading Teams - Able to achieve organizational focus on key priorities; delegates and effectively builds talent within an organization through guidance and mentorship. Flexible and able to proactively manage a high change environment.

Proven conflict resolution experience with the ability to handle stress, conflicting priorities, ambiguous information.

Extensive knowledge of ERP business systems (SAP preferred) and experience helping to design and document processes, including implementing supporting IT tools.

Immediate knowledge of Financial concepts and how decisions can impact key metrics

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment

Must possess Intermediate or better PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and email programs such as Microsoft Outlook

Ability to travel up to 10%
