The Controller is responsible implementation and maintenance of
accounting systems for the control of Tyonek Native Corporation
assets and the preparation of complete and accurate financial

financial operation. Builds and maintains a top tier cohesive
Ensures adequate controls are in place, and acts as liaison with
audit firm to ensure appropriate and complete information is
provided. Ensures the timely and accurate preparation of the annual
audit schedules, journals, account reconciliations and tax
schedules as needed for audit preparation and compliance with tax
and regulatory authorities.
Responsible for compliance with all federal regulations
including but not limited to FAR/DCAA/DCMA/CAS. Ensure compliance
with contract requirements.
Ensures all accounting processes, transactions and accounting
information are managed in accordance with GAAP and internal
policies and procedures.
Ensures monthly financial reports, projections, analysis, and
variance reports are provided to department heads and executive
management on a timely basis.
Advanced understanding of and manages to ensure Accounts payable
are paid in a timely manner, Accounts receivable are collected
promptly, and Payroll is processed in a timely manner, Bank
reconciliations are completed, Debt payments are made on time, and
Maintains a chart of accounts.
Knowledge and practical application of ASC-606 guidelines.
Other Duties as Assigned.
BS/BA in Accounting required
Master's degree in accounting or CPA required
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Controller for a government
Minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting
Minimum 3 years' experience in auditing
Advanced Deltek CostPoint experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Knowledge and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and
Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with
executive management, project managers and employees
Strong analytical capabilities
Excellent human relations skills with 5 years' experience
leading a team of 5 or more
