Summary of Major Responsibilities The Commercial Development
Director will collaborate with the Pipeline team and the Screening
Business Unit Commercial Leadership team to set pipeline strategy
and conduct ongoing asset prioritization to build a strong pipeline
of diagnostic products for Exact Sciences. In addition, this role
will lead late stage commercialization activities to prepare assets
for successful launch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with Pipeline
team and Screening Busines Unit leaders to set pipeline
Develop process to facilitate asset prioritization and conduct
annual evaluation as part of the long-range planning process.
Lead analysis of market and asset opportunities; identifying
value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles,
product positioning, and revenue potential to maximize the
Drive development of early commercial plans; including strategic
positioning and launch planning, by distilling commercial and
strategic insights through analysis of product, brand, customer,
consumer, and competitive information.
Gain external validation of insights through market research and
advisory feedback from relevant experts.
Support development of scientific platform and data generation
to satisfy requirements for guideline inclusion, target product
label, and associated target product claims.
Lead internal processes that accurately reflect asset
opportunity and provide analysis and support for business needs
(e.g., Long-Range Plan, Brand Plan. etc.).
Develop compelling presentations to convey asset strategies to
broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior
Function as the Screening Business Unit commercial voice at
Pipeline leadership team meetings.
Uphold company mission and values through accountability,

Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System
policies and procedures.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Ability to work seated for approximately 90% of a typical
working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 10% of a

Ability to travel 20% of working time away from work location,
may include overnight/weekend travel.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration,
Science, or related field.
10+ years of experience in commercial development, pipeline
marketing, in-line marketing, or pharmaceuticals/Medical Device
Demonstrated ability to understand strategic positioning of
products for success within competitive environments.
Scientific acumen and therapeutic understanding, with the
ability to analyze complex datasets.
Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of P&L
drivers and the ability to develop appropriate investment and sales
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the
position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience working within matrix-based teams and project
Works collaboratively and proactively, and maintains high degree
of planning, coordination, and project management skills.
