This position is in pay schedule and range 81-02 with an annual
salary of $74,880-$90,064. Pay for current state employees will be
set based on the rules of the Wisconsin Compensation Plan. A two

(DSPS), who is currently seeking to fill a Section Chief-Integrated
Who We Are : The mission of the Department of Safety and
Professional Services is to promote economic growth and stability
while protecting the citizens of Wisconsin as designated by
statute. DSPS and related professional boards protect the citizens
of Wisconsin by ensuring the safe and competent practice of
licensed professionals; performing inspections of commercial
buildings, amusement rides, boilers, elevators, pressurized gas
systems, and electrical systems; and performing plan reviews of
commercial building, plumbing, fire suppression, elevators,
boilers, and private onsite wastewater treatments systems.

Where We Are Located : This position is located on the west side
of Madison in the brand new Hill Farms State Office Building , at

Provide leadership, administration, and supervision of assigned
technical program(s) related to constructed environments and their
components, whose staff provides plan review, product review and
approval, consultations, and other services.
Supervise the section's programs, services, and business
operations, including developing and evaluating policies,
procedures, and a performance program.
Directly supervise a team of plan reviewers and consultants
who examine plans for state code compliance and provide
technical consultation within their assigned programs.
Develop and implement the sections vision, goals and strategies,
including process improvement, customer satisfaction and cost

Minimally Qualified candidates will have training and/or
experience with both of the following:
Training and/or experience in the construction industry
Training and/or experience with understanding and adhering
to the Wisconsin Administrative Code
In addition to having both of the above, a Well Qualified
candidates will have one or more of the following:
Experience developing and implementing polices and/or
Experience working as a supervisor or lead worker
