This laboratory focuses on the development of immunotherapies and targeted radiotherapy approaches to treat pediatric cancer. The laboratory uses conventional and pursues novel tumor-targeted approaches for the research including cellular therapies, nanotechnology and small molecule drug development, including use of radiopharmaceuticals, allowing for simultaneous molecular imaging and anticancer drug-delivery. The candidate will also be tasked with lab managerial duties and function as lab supervisor. The position is located in the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) tower I at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Carbone Cancer Center. For more information on diversity and inclusion on campus, please visit: Diversity and InclusionDegree and Area of Specialization: - Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related Biological Sciences field required Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience: - A minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience in cancer cell biology, radiation research and/or immunotherapy research. - Expertise in standard and advanced techniques utilized in cell and molecular biology, such as cell culturing, ELISA, qPCR, Cloning, Flow Cytometry, Western blot, histochemistry/IHC and associated assays and solid knowledge of biostatistical analysis is required. - Knowledge of gene expression analyses, experience in gene database research and gene mining tools desired. - Substantial knowledge of radiation biology research, as well as techniques pertinent to the exploration of signal transduction pathways is desired. - Candidate must have experience in rodent work, such as handling, maintenance, and minor rodent procedures (such as tail vein injections, tumor grafting, dissections). - Effective oral and written communication skills, independent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and an outgoing and energetic service-oriented approach required. - Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
