Job Description:
Republic Services, Inc., a leader in U.S non-hazardous solid
waste and recycling, is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver /
Courier. Join our team and operate our iconic blue trucks to help
us in providing reliable waste collection, transfer, disposal, and
recycling services. This role is pivotal in maintaining our
commitment to environmental sustainability and punctual service
delivery. As a part of our logistics team, you will ensure that
materials are safely and efficiently transported to their
destinations, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Operate vehicles for the collection and transportation of trash and
recycling materials. Follow route assignments as directed and
complete end-of-day documentation and check out process. Perform
daily pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to
ensure operational safety. Maintain adherence to required
productivity standards to ensure all customers are serviced in a
timely and efficient manner. Communicate customer requests or
issues to dispatch or management. Comply with all DOT (Department
of Transportation) and company safety regulations, policies, and
work practices. Excellent driving skills and familiarity with local
roads and routes. Strong time management and customer service
skills. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and
moving up to 50 pounds. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and
performance. Proficiency in using GPS and other routing systems.
