This IT Manager is a 'jack of all trades' who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done. They must have a good understanding of most aspects of IT and be willing to ensure our stores and office are working at a high level. This position is responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT function with the business objectives of the organization. Plans, coordinates, direct, designs and implements IT related activities of the organization, as well as provide support for daily operational activities of the IT. Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This position oversees a part time help desk employee. Reports to the Controller. Position Summary: Responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT function with the business objectives of the organization. Plans, coordinates, direct, designs and implements IT related activities of the organization, as well as provide support for daily operational activities of the IT. Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Reports to the Controller. Essential Responsibilities:* Implementation of, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including Point of Sale, telecommunications, servers, PCs, internet, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment.* Lead IT operational and strategic planning, including planning projects, organizing, negotiating the allocation of resources.* Benchmark, analyze and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Keep current with the latest technologies.* Provide and/or oversee end-user services, including technical support services.* Work with management and end-users to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.* Install and maintain all hardware in the Home office and store locations.* Create, implement and maintain IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.* Write and update instructions and documentation for use of programs, POS systems, and other technology products.* Assist in the sourcing and negotiation of IT vendors, outsourcers, and consultant contracts and service agreements in addition to managing ongoing IT vendor relationships.* Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment at a level that makes sense for the organization.* Provide network support along with network security and firewall administration.* Create, maintain and support databases and reports for business data needs.* Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications regarding IT activities with supervisor as well as Department Heads as needed.* Coordinate with departments, vendors, and web host to maintain up-to-date website.* Monitor and maintain website user functionality.* Install, repair and support security camera systems.* Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.* Works the amount of time required for the position and works extra hours as needed. Education/Experience Requirement:* Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field.* 3-5 years experience in an IT or similar role.* Or additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Human Resources. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.* Experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as well as the ability to work independently.* Experience working with all levels of an organization.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Strong problem solving skills and the ability to quickly find solutions to unfamiliar problems.* Knowledge of security practices.* Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.* Ability to read, write and speak English. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Experience working with and supporting Point of Sale systems such as Wand, Micros and Revel.* Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Office 365.* Knowledge of telecommunications wiring practices.* A+, Network+ and/or Microsoft Certifications. Work is conducted mainly in normal office environment with minimal noise. About 10% travel to other markets and regular travel to stores in Wisconsin.
