With a foundation in computer vision, algorithms, mapping, and Artificial Intelligence, TuSimple is working to create the first global commercially viable autonomous truck driving platform!Job Overview:Develop system level requirements for the simulation and benchmarking platformsTranslate product requirements into technical specifications for various algorithm benchmarksDesign and enforce the standardization of offline testing processEvaluate past testing data to design performance metrics; implementing the metrics to monitor overall simulation performanceRole Responsibilities:Work closely with peer Product, Engineering, Safety, and Offboard teams to design, develop and refine onboard operating system architecture and design that can successfully be applied to our autonomous vehicles; Customize, tuning, and extend Linux based operating system and environment for autonomous driving product.Facilitate integration, packaging, delivery, upgrade of operating system related environment for autonomous driving product and developmentIdentify, study, and introduce latest technologies & tools that will improvethe architecture, design, and performance of our autonomous driving product; Experience & Skills Required:Minimum Bachelor's Degree with major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or similar; 3+ year's industrial experience as an engineer in Linux OS performance tuning, system integration, installation and upgrading.Deep understanding of computer architecture and Linux kernel internals.Understanding of docker container internals.Familiar with common open source Linux utils and toolchains.Proficient in scripting language such as bash, python.Preferred Skills and Experience:5+ year's industrial experience in embedded or enterprise software architecture, design, and/or development for automotive grade or similar embedded systems.7+ year's industrial experience as an Engineer in embedded or enterprise software development, integration, test, and/or validation; Background in at least one embedded commercial RTOS (SafeLinux, QNX, VXWorks),Perks:Visa sponsorship is available for this positionOpportunity for professional growth and career advancementCompetitive salary and benefitsDaily breakfast, lunch, and dinnerShape the landscape of autonomous driving100% Company paid Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance planCompany 401(K) programCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid education/training.Company paid gym membership.TuSimple is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
