PositionNorthStar is in search of a technical leader who will lead both software development for the instrument/medical device as well as develop the software development processes in compliance with FDA/cGMP regulations and standards. This position requires a hands on leader that is as comfortable writing software as they are developing software standards and processes. This position provides an amazing opportunity for an experience software leader to help shape the future of how software is done at NorthStar. Duties & Responsibilities-- Gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, generating software development plans, software designs and documentation, software specifications, writing code, and executing verification and validation in a structured, controlled software environment.-- Creation of the software development process as a whole including requirements determination, software architecture, coding standards, review processes, unit/integration/system test methods, configuration management, and change control.-- Understanding and executing life cycle management of the current legacy software including developing a strategy for sustaining engineering of this software.-- Comply with all company quality and regulatory system requirements, advocating for accuracy and completeness to ensure source control management and continuous integration.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and six or more years' experience in programming control systems/user interfaces or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong experience in disciplined software development processes and tools. Experience with medical device design and development and/or FDA/cGMP compliance strongly preferred. Experience with both Agile, waterfall methods and object-oriented programming preferred.
