SVA is looking for an HR Generalist to join our growing HR team
out of our Madison, WI location. This is the opportunity you have

Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not
limited to, the following:
- Ensure positive candidate experience by professionally and
warmly introducing candidates to SVA, including assisting in
scheduling interviews and interviewing participants as
needed.
- Coordinate and manage onboarding process with new employees
including background checks and I-9 verification, and other
internal SVA processes
- Proudly serve as the first face of SVA, by leading New Hire
Orientation and following up with new employees to deliver an
exceptional new hire experience.
- Accurately, independently, and confidentially establish,
maintain, analyze, and report employee information in HRIS
system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage employee status
changes, including promotions, onboarding and off-boarding
processes in an accurate and timely manner. Update records and
provide corresponding communication to affected individuals and
notifications to others when applicable.
- Act as HR Helpdesk to triage and respond to internal and
external HR related inquires or requests and direct to appropriate
resource.
- Ensure SVA compliance with various multi-state laws and
regulations. Create awareness to HR leadership of new/existing
applicable state laws to ensure SVA's understanding and
adherence.
- Own, maintain and update relevant and important content on the
HR intranet page.
- Cross train to understand and participate in SVA's campus
recruitment and internet experience.
- Respond to and manage unemployment claim and verification of
employment requests.
- Organize and complete special HR projects as needed.
- Administer Employee Celebration Programs such as service
awards, anniversary recognition, family events, and
retirements.
- Manage Employee Recognition Program (Kudos) and Employee
Referral Bonus Program.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities such as, but not
limited to, holiday events, flu clinic, busy season events, United
Way and Share your Holiday campaigns, HR communications.
- Ensure Labor Law posting compliance for all SVA business
locations including remote employee locations.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reporting such as
EEO-1.
- Gather, analyze, and develop employee data reports with useful
HR metrics as needed.
- Assist in development and implementation of human resources
policies and job description updates.
- Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management & employees
to maintain customer service standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or
related field (or equivalent experience), and 5+ years of HR
experience.
