POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a?Clinical Internship Team Manager?in our Organizational Resources program!??The Clinical Team Manager (CTM) within Organizational Resources is responsible for providing supervision to the Advance Practice Clinical Internship Program (APCIP) at Journey Mental Health Center (JMHC), agency wide. The CTM provides culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, and trauma informed training and supervision to the APCIP supervisory staff and interns pertaining to child, adolescent, family, adult mental health, and substance use services. The CTM works closely with the JMHC leadership team; i.e. other managers and team leaders?in Outpatient Services, Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), Journey Community programs and Emergency Services, to ensure interns working in specific programs have the knowledge to use specific program documentation?and benefit the budgetary requirements of each given program.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Clinical Internship Team Manager reports directly to the Associated Director of Professional Development with overall program supervision provided by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
EDUCATION/LICENSURE

  • Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • Meets relevant state licensing requirements for billable services and clinical supervision for alcohol/drug and/or psychotherapy servicesEXPERIENCE
    • 2 years of supervisory experience and/or leadership responsibilities
    • 5 years experience in community-based substance abuse and mental health assessment, case management, treatment planning, interventions, and crisis resolution and the ability to provide clinical supervision and professional development to staff
    • Strong system analysis and problem solving skills
    • Superior communication abilities (both orally and in writing)
    • Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team including a positive and creative attitude in a leadership role
    • Ability to work independently, and remain organized and efficient
    • Superior ethics and interpersonal boundaries as evidenced by past experience in community based work and related professional references
    • Demonstrated ability to work with organizations in assessing and promoting recovery-focused, culturally inclusive, trauma informed, and sustainable initiatives driven by professional development and measurement of outcome goals
    • Demonstrated ability to offer high-level approved continuing educational opportunities to Journey staff and our community
    • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in collaborative professional development for effective treatment initiatives
    • Possession of a valid driver's license, a?favorable?driving record, adequate insurance (per state law) and access to a vehicleTypical Physical Demands
      Requires driving, sitting, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching; and the ability to use and operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, phone, printer, cell phone, facsimile, etc.

      Working Conditions
      May require evening or weekend hours depending on program and consumer's needs.
      PREFERRED
      • Bi-lingual, and/or bi-cultural (Spanish/Hmong/Cambodian)
      • Fluent in American Sign Language
      • Licensure as a Independent Clinical SupervisorRESPONSIBILITIES:
        A. Clinical Supervision of Advance Practice Clinical Intern Supervisors
      • Provide clinical consultation, review, and oversight to clinical team members, and through regularly scheduled consultation, education, instruction and counsel, assure the general clinical and cultural sensitivity of all services delivered to consumers.
      • Review the performance and goals for supervisees on an annual and as needed basis.
      • Provide clinical back up as needed.
      • Coordinate and oversee a system of appropriate clinical charting procedures that insure the service's compliance with JMHC, County, State, and CARF guidelines and mandates.
      • Review documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
      • Provide problem resolution around system issues, clinical issues, cultural competence, consumer grievances and difficult cases.B. Administrative Leadership within APCIP and Professional Development Program
      • Provide APCIP leadership through recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation of new staff, students and volunteers with goal of expanding undergraduate internships and availability to help programs and units.
      • Provide leadership, both in the agency and in the community, around agency mission, vision and values as a part of the JMHC management team.
      • Responsible for attending budget meetings and maintaining APCIS program within budgetary limits set by Accounting Department.
      • Maintain a regular presence in Outpatient Services to provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff and interns regularly and as needed. Attend all Outpatient Services All-Staff, Manager, and Team Leader meetings to assure interns and intern supervisory staff are meeting all phases of programmatic requirements.
      • Monitor and assure all staff are meeting their productivity goals.
      • Maintain communication with the staff at the various institutions of higher learning that have interns at JMHC.
      • Coordinate/on-board Medical Interns, with goal of getting residents into JMHC
      • Assist with coordination/recruitment of trainings and trainers, with goal of expanding and enhancing training offerings in conjunction with the Professional Development/Training team.
