As a Catering/Events Coordinator at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa you will be responsible for the communicating the details for groups events turned over from sales and ensuring that information is relayed in a timely and accurate manner to the operations department and the hotel management and staff. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. Create files for contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandums, Delphi management system updates, and other documents. Answer telephone and responds to caller inquiries. Exercise decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests. Accurately records and distributes messages. Communicate with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information. Organizes, files, distributes faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation. Works in cooperation between Events Manager(s) and clients in Manager's absence. Performs supportive functions during the absence of other sales and catering assistants. Ability to assist in other departments when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. What do you bring to the role? · Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. College degree preferred. · Able to use Microsoft 365 applications. · Strong multiple project management skills. · Previous Delphi experience preferred. · Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing. · Ability to work under time pressures and extended hours.
