POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a Clinical EHR Liaison I in our Organizational Resources program! The Clinical EHR Liaison I (Technical Specialist) position provides clinical oversight to the development of and the implementation of the Electronic Health Record. This position works cooperatively with the IT Department and the agency clinical staff.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position reports directly to the Clinical EHR Systems Analyst with overall program supervision provided by Associate Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
Education/Licensure

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Health related field or in Information Technology.
  • Experience working with IT and/or an Electronic Health Record. Experience
    • EHR Experience in related behavioral health field.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
    • Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team with a positive and creative attitude.
    • Ability to work independently and remain organized and efficient.
    • Superior ethics and interpersonal boundaries as evidenced by past experience in community based work.
    • Knowledge and skills of how to configure Electronic Health Record using the user interface.
    • Knowledge of clinical processes and how they are represented in the software.
    • Experience training EHR processes to clinical staff. Typical Physical Demands
      Requires sitting, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching; and the ability to use and operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, phone, printer, cell phone, facsimile, etc.
      Working Conditions
      May require evening or weekend hours depending on program and consumer's needs.

      PREFERRED
      • Familiarity with clinical work flow processes
      • Familiarity with medical work flow processes
      • Bi-lingual, and/or bi-cultural (Spanish/Hmong/Cambodian)
      • Fluent in American Sign Language RESPONSIBILITIES
        A. Clinical EHR Liaison 1 - under the direction of Clinical EHR Systems Analyst
      • Provide EHR customer service to all Journey staff regarding clinical EHR issues and training through telephone, email, and face-to-face contact.
      • Address all IT tickets regarding clinical EHR functionality.
      • Communicating with IT to translate clinical needs into software functionality.
      • Work directly with the Professional Development department to provide trainings to agency staff in IT and EHR.
      • Work cooperatively on data fixes required to maintain accurate EHR reporting. B. Program and JMHC Participation
        1. Attends staff meetings, in-services and other program activities as requested.
        2. Participates in JMHC committees, trainings and activities as directed and/or approved.
        3. Provides consultation to other JMHC programs as necessary and in their location.
