Job Description UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CCU - Coronary Care for a nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: - Practice at University Hospital in Madison, ranked among the nation’s top heart hospitals, and be part of a high-performing cardiac team delivering exceptional outcomes. - Thrive in a fast-paced 23-bed cardiac/telemetry unit caring for intermediate and general cardiology patients, supported by central monitors throughout the unit and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. - Provide expert care for patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias, including management of titratable vasoactive drips. - Partner closely with the Cardiac Cath Lab for pre- and post-procedure care, and collaborate with advanced heart failure teams managing pre-transplant and LVAD patients within a growing, innovative program. - Grow with us: beginning this summer, the unit will expand to include external pacemaker management and a broader cardiac surgical population, creating exciting new opportunities to build expertise with advanced cardiac technologies in a high-acuity setting. - Join a supportive, team-driven culture that values shared governance, quality improvement, and strong patient education where nurses help one another succeed and patients are active members of the care team. Pay: Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials - $4/hour evening, $5/hour night and $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience - Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
