Job Description UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - Employment Type: Staff 90% FTE, Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts with rotating start times between the hours of 5:30am – 9:00am. No holidays, weekends, on-call or overnights. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at the Madison Surgery Center in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Pre/Post/PACU to: - Deliver comprehensive perioperative and peri anesthesia care across several surgical specialties, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, and some GYN. - Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients by preparing them for surgery. This includes Perioperative Checklists, IV placement and Medication Administration. - Provide care in the Outpatient PACU. Critical care experience preferred. - Develop a therapeutic relationship to enable the patient and family to verbalize understanding of post-surgical care and discharge teaching.
