Encompass Health's Van Matre Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients recovering from a variety of conditions, using your expertise in nutrition to help tailor recovery plans and improve patient outcomes. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of dietetics, especially as it applies to clinical and rehabilitative contexts, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare providers. Assess patient health needs and diet restrictions to develop customized nutritional plans. Consult with physicians and healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients. Monitor patient progress and adapt plans as needed. Lead educational workshops for patients and families on proper nutritional care to support recovery. Document treatment plans and patient progress actively in medical records. Participate in multi-disciplinary healthcare team meetings to contribute to holistic patient care. In-depth knowledge of clinical nutrition. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver nutritional education programs. Proficiency in dietary assessment tools and software. Capability of conducting research and remaining current with nutritional science trends. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligible for registration. Licensed Dietitian status in the state of employment.
