Registered Nurse (RN) | Long-Term Care Location: Beaver Dam, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, 53916! Job Title: LTC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long-Term Care RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Elderly care experience is essential. Description: This role is within a nursing home setting. The facility has 70 beds, with a majority being private rooms. The electronic medical record system utilized is ECS. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:20 for RNs and LPNs, and 1:8 for CNAs. Common patient diagnoses include dementia, frailty, elderly care, and rehabilitation. Key job duties include charting, assessments, charge duties, and medication administration. Clinical skills required include IV management, catheterization, and ostomy care. Experience with IVs and titratable drips is necessary. There are no telemetry monitors on this unit, and RNs are not required to read strips. RNs are not required to attend meetings for acute inpatient rehabilitation. A Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse, and House Supervisor are present. Physicians are accessible after hours. The interdisciplinary team includes therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, and housekeeping staff. Respiratory Therapy is available on-site 24/7. There is an on-site pharmacy with a medication dispensing system. Shifts are structured with a block schedule of 8-hour shifts. During the day and evening, there are 4 nurses and 7 aides, with 2 nurses and 3-4 aides during night shifts. Staff are required to work every other weekend and a minimum of half of the holidays during their assignment. There is no on-call or standby requirement. Floating to other units may be required. Dress code requires a clean and professional appearance with any solid color scrubs. Unit-specific orientation varies based on skills.
