Description: /n Work Schedule: /n Join our team as a Nurse
Education Specialist and work with nurses practicing general level
inpatient care in both the hospital and home setting! This unique
opportunity is a 100% FTE position scheduled to typically work
Monday through Friday, day shift hours, however some off hours or
weekends may be required. Hours may vary based on the operational
needs of the department. You will primarily work at University
Hospital with occasional travel to UW Health Administrative Office
Building (AOB), UW Health Administrative Services Building (ASB)
and the Northport Drive Clinic, all located in Madison, WI. /n Be

/n We are seeking a Nursing Education Specialist (NES) interested
in a unique opportunity to assist in the onboarding and
professional development of nurses practicing at the acute
care/general care level at UW Health across various modes of care
delivery: /n /n - Areas of support will include:/n /n - Inpatient
Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation and Palliative
Care Unit at University Hospital. /n - Home-Based Hospital Care
(HBHC) department with nurses practicing acute hospital level care
in the patient’s home through our specialized HBHC program. The
HBHC dedicated workspaces are located at ASB and Northport Drive
Clinic, both in Madison, WI. /n - Various inpatient medical units
practicing at the general care level at University Hospital, a
level one trauma center, ranked 1 in the state of WI. /n /n - The
NES will facilitate and conduct the initial onboarding and
continued professional development of the nursing staff within
their assigned areas of support. /n - Assist with curriculum and
program development to support education for nursing staff at UW
Health. This will include collaboration across departments. /n -
Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive
educational programs. /n - Participate in the promotion and
delivery of new house wide initiatives as well as new nurse
orientation at UW Health. /n - Complete assigned Nursing Education
Specialist (NES) responsibilities based on needs of the department.
/n - Provide expertise and resources in the area of support; for
this position, three years of oncology/hematology inpatient nursing
experience and at least one year of medical surgical nursing
experience is highly preferred as well as experience in educating
nurses. /n /n Pay: /n /n - /n Pay range is based on a full-time
(100%) position. /n - /n Salary is prorated based on FTE. /n - /n

/n /n - Master's Degree in Nursing Required /n - Master's Degree in
