Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: NICU Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Level 4 NICU experience required, or Level 3 with surgical and trach vent management experience. Traveler must have completed two years in an acute care setting in addition to at least one year in a Level 4 NICU or Level 3 NICU meeting the above requirements. License: Current Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS certification through a recognized organization required. PALS certification required. NRP certification required. Must-Have: Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. Basic Arrhythmia experience required. Traveler must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting the position. Description: Provide care for critically ill newborns, infants, and their families across the continuum of care, from admission to discharge. This NICU is designed for patient- and family-centered care. Provide care for infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including a variety of medical and surgical complexities. Travelers may be scheduled to float to multiple units depending on current staffing needs. Shifts will be reassigned if the primary unit no longer has a need. Weekend rotations and some holidays are required. Travelers should have active telemetry competency on file. Pass/fail testing is required with strict passing criteria. Travelers must meet specific passing scores on telemetry exams. Travelers will receive two attempts to pass the exams.
