Shift: Nights: 12 hr shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse
(RN) to join our Med/Surg / Telemetry units in Madison, WI. This
role is ideal for an RN with 2 years of experience in Med/Surg
(MS), Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), and Telemetry. In this dynamic
position, you will be required to float across all units within
your skillset, offering you a diverse and enriching nursing
experience. Previous travel experience is encouraged and will be
highly valued as you support our team and patients in multiple
settings.
Key Responsibilities:
--- Patient Care: Utilize your clinical expertise to assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate care for patients across Med/Surg, IMCU,
and Telemetry units.
--- Floating Across Units: You will be expected to float across all
units within your skillset-supporting different patient populations
and ensuring continuity of care in Med/Surg, IMCU, and Telemetry
settings.
--- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians,
nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide
coordinated, patient-centered care.
--- Telemetry Monitoring & Critical Care: Provide care to patients
requiring telemetry monitoring, critical drips, and other advanced
medical interventions.
--- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on
diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-care plans to ensure
understanding and promote recovery.
--- Travel Experience: If you have prior travel nursing experience,
you will be able to bring that knowledge and adaptability into your
new role while enhancing the team dynamic.
Qualifications:
--- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg, IMCU,
and Telemetry settings.
--- Floating Ability: Ability to float across all units within your
skillset to meet the demands of a diverse patient population.
--- Certifications:
o BLS (AHA) certification required
--- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
--- Skills & Abilities:
o Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg, IMCU, and Telemetry
o Ability to provide care in a variety of clinical settings
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking
skills
o Strong adaptability and flexibility, especially in a travel
role
