• Certification Details
• Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
• BLS/ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLYJob Details
• Traveler must include and/or meet all minimum requirements below to be consider.
• Traveler must have permanent address outside 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, Medefis portal, and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).
• Nurses will provide intensive care to patients who are acutely ill from a neurological deficit.
• This unit specialized in subarachnoid hemorrhages, un-stables ischemic and hemorrhage strokes, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.
• The Neuroscience ICU is a 16 bed ICU which provides ICP monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring of unstable patients.
• The Neuroscience ICU will provide nurses the opportunity to work with severe neurological, neurovascular, and neurosurgical populations.Job Requirements
• Must have experience in ICP or ventric.
• Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
• Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
• Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
• Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
• Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions).Schedule Information
• Travelers are the first to float.
• The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs.
• During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.Additional Details
• UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
