Work Schedule:100% FTE, mainly day hours with rotating night and weekends (10-12 hour shifts). Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours. External hires may be eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on bonus.Be part of something remarkable.Come provide care to adults with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU. At UW Health an academic medical center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program you will treat the most complex trauma and stroke cases in the state.We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) :Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.Partner with a larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice.UW Healths Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard. These may include the following: Acute Care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology will be considered only if previous ICU experience).If Physician Assistant*:Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice ANDActive PA board certificationAll Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice.
