Summary
Bedrock Healthcare is looking for a candidate with marketing/sales
experience to serve as a Hospital Liaison for our Madison
facilities (Fort Atkinson, Watertown and Beaver Dam). In this role,
you respond to patient referrals by conducting a pre-screening of
their medical records and insurance information to determine
whether they are eligible for admission. If the requirements for
admission are met, you may assist them with scheduling their
initial appointment or treatment. You also help coordinate
discharges and transfers. Although we do have strict requirements
for admission, one of your main goals is to keep our clinic as
close to capacity as possible, so you also promote our healthcare
services to qualified patients and their families.
Hospital Liaison Responsibilities
1. - - - - -Recruits referrals and coordinates with admissions
coordinator on scheduling assessment.
2. - - - - -Performs the assessment within three hours of referral,
planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care;
demonstrates competence in assessing physical, psychological and
social dimensions of patients.
3. - - - - -Obtains financial information as necessary form
patient, family and chart.
4. - - - - -Reviews chart and interviews patient and/or family to
gather information to determine special needs.
5. - - - - -Begins patient/family education regarding facility
programs, admission protocols, and financial information as
needed.
6. - - - - -Is alert to changes in patient condition that would
affect admission.
7. - - - - -If patient is medically inappropriate, Hospital Liaison
will notify referral source.
8. - - - - -Is responsible for prospecting, product marketing, and
making marketing presentations. Ninety percent of job tasks will be
outside of the facility.
9. - - - - -Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the
territory assigned, target markets, and the business of existing
and potential referral sources within assigned target market. Keeps
abreast of general economic and business conditions as they relate
to assigned territory, target markets and referral sources.
10. - -Schedules activities to identify new referral sources by
making an average of 5 quality appointments per day with an average
of 20 contracts per week.
11. - -Develops and maintains thorough understanding of facilities'
patient treatment programs, philosophies, goals and objectives.
12. - -Works with appropriate hospital staff members to provide
service to existing accounts and constantly strives to increase
number of referrals from accounts.
13. - -Develops meaningful business and personal rapport with key
individuals within all customer accounts.
14. - -Provides management with relevant, detailed information
regarding market place development and opportunities, including any
accounts lost to the competition.
15. - -Responds to patients' and peers' requests/needs in a timely
manner.
Hospital Liaison Qualifications
1. - - - - -Must have two years experience in -sales, product
development, and marketing -and/or case management. -
2. - - - - -Must possess valid driver's license.
