Join the team at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene as a Medical Laboratory Technician!The Communicable Disease Division of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Client Services Department. The successful candidate will support specimen receiving, inventory management, data entry in Epic Beaker, limited customer service activities, and other tasks/projects as assigned. This position is on-site at 2601 Agriculture Drive, Madison, WI 53718. Work hours are 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday through Friday; Saturdays 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM; occasional Sundays, holidays, and additional shifts may be required in support of public health needs.EDUCATIONPreferredAssociates DegreeQUALIFICATIONS- Completion of training in an approved School of Medical Laboratory Technician is required.- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or public health laboratory is preferred.- Certification as an MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), CLT (NCA) or RMT(ISCLT) is preferred.SALARYMinimum $21.00 HOURLYDepending on QualificationsThe base hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hour. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
